Despite the large quantity, Jack Ma later announced on behalf of Cainiao Network that in the future, smart logistics will achieve 24-hour domestic delivery and 72 hour international delivery.

Recently, at the 2018 Global Smart Logistics Summit held in Hangzhou, Cainiao Network Technology Co., Ltd. announced that it will establish logistics hubs in multiple global locations in the future, with priority given to five major cities including Hangzhou in China, Kuala Lumpur in Malaysia, Dubai in the United Arab Emirates, Moscow in Russia, and Li è ge in Belgium.

Cainiao revealed that the first five global logistics hub cities considered each have their own advantages. For example, Hangzhou is a city in China's * Cross border E-commerce Comprehensive Pilot Zone; Kuala Lumpur is the first overseas city to establish an Electronic World Trade Platform (eWTP). Here, Cainiao has partnered with Malaysian Customs to shorten the average clearance time from 1 day to 3 hours; Dubai connects the three continents of Europe, Asia, and Africa and is one of the most important transit hubs in the world.

Wan Lin, President of Cainiao Network, stated that unlike typical logistics bases, *'s logistics hub will leverage its geographical and technological advantages. It is reported that Cainiao will promote hub construction in these areas through joint construction or leasing operations with partners.

On the basis of planning to open the first five global hubs, we will also open more global nodes in the future to promote a more intelligent and efficient logistics network, moving from 5-day delivery in * cities to 72 hour delivery worldwide, "said Wan Lin.

Coincidentally, shortly after this conference, Cainiao had already started its promotion work. On the 6th of this month, Cainiao Network, YTO Express, and Air China jointly announced the construction of a logistics hub project at Hong Kong International Airport, the world's busiest cargo airport. The project will be completed and put into use in 2023, becoming a globally advanced digital logistics * capable of handling tens of millions of cross-border e-commerce packages annually.

Data shows that since its establishment 5 years ago, Cainiao Network has built a smart logistics network covering 224 countries and regions worldwide. According to data from Cainiao, this smart logistics network has reduced the average cross-border logistics time from China to major countries from 70 days to less than 10 days.

In addition to logistics hubs, Cainiao also revealed plans for a "future park" at the logistics summit. Gu Xuemei, a novice CTO, said that the "future park" of the logistics industry will be a large-scale integrated application of cutting-edge technologies such as the Internet of Things, edge computing and artificial intelligence.

Gu Xuemei gave an example that through intelligent cameras, employees' high-risk situations such as theft, smoking, etc. can be identified in real time and warnings can be issued. At the same time, all vehicles and personnel entering the park through the Internet of Things will be digitally guided, to the point where every manhole cover becomes intelligent.
